Most famous bald characters in video games

Because bald people had to be represented too, here are the most famous bald characters (heroes or villains) in video game history. Who’s your favorite? Who did we miss?

Psycho Mantis (Metal Gear Solid)

Slight spoilers for MGS games:

Psycho Mantis is an awesome villain from Metal Gear Solid 1. It’s also been confirmed that he’s the red haired kid from The Phantom Pain (maybe wearing a wig?) but he’s bald in the first MGS game starring our beloved Solid Snake.

The scene where you meet him is unforgettable for GameCube players because the villain would read your memory card and mention games you’d played recently!

Dr. Wily (Mega Man)

Albert W. Wily (better known as Dr. Wily) is the main antagonist of the original Mega Man series.

He’s not just bald; there’s also a theory that he has breasts (!)

Eggman / Dr. Robotnik (Sonic)

Are all evil doctors bald? Well, not really, but at least Mega Man and Sonic’s villains are.

Dr. Ivo “Eggman” Robotnik (call him what you like) was born when Naoto Ohshima created the character as part of many design choices for the Sega’s new mascot. After creating Sonic, he decided to use his previous egg-shaped character to create the antagonist of the first game starring the hedgehog.

Mr. Burns (The Simpsons)

No, we’re not cheating: Mr. Burns is mainly an animated series character (one of the best on The Simpsons) but how can we not include him when he was such a great villain in the series’ adaptations to video games?

Bart vs. The Space Mutants; The Simpsons Game; and of course, the unforgettable arcade game, simply called The Simpsons.

Lex Luthor (Injustice and more)

Again, not cheating: Lex Luthor has appeared in every game featuring Superman since the first one was released for the Atari 2600 (with the exception of The Death and Return of Superman).

The Injustice series, the Lego Batman games, and Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe (as one of the fighters) are some of the best examples.

Agent 47 (Hitman)

Everyone’s favorite agent (well, one of their favorites), Agent 47 is the main protagonist of the Hitman series and he’s a kick-ass bald guy.

Black suit, black leather gloves, white dress shirt, and a red tie: ideal to go stealthy.

GamesRadar ranked him as the 47th (wink) “most memorable, influential, and badass” protagonist in video games.

Dhalsim (Street Fighter)

One of the most popular characters from the Street Fighter series, the yogi is a pacifist, even though he does state: I will meditate and destroy you in his first appearance in Street Fighter II.

He’s appeared in countless video games, comics, animated adaptations, and all things Street Fighter, now wearing a turban in his latest reincarnation.

Kratos (God of War)

Bald guys could finally feel powerful when the first God of War game was released.

Kratos is the definitive bald badass. Since 2018’s God of War for PS4, he now has a beard too. Regarding his skin, even though many people see him as black (he does look and sound like it, being voiced by an African American), since he’s Greek/Mediterranean, his (original) skin color is technically not that dark. After the ashes of his family turn his skin white, he earns the title of Ghost of Sparta.
